A Swiss house with a world view

At the origin of AlpiForma is an eye shaped by imagery and a Swiss family culture where photography, decorative arts, precision crafts and the mountains all meet. A way of looking at things in which detail, material and light matter as much as the object itself.

That eye later found expression in film set decoration, international exhibition scenography, spatial design and furniture. Different worlds, but the same conviction: a successful interior is not born from accumulation. It comes from a few well-judged choices.

Before it became a collection, AlpiForma began as a personal search: to find, for one’s own home, a beautiful sheepskin, a remarkable throw, a generous rug, a seat or an object capable of changing the atmosphere without following a passing trend.

Through years of travel, workshops and manufacturers were encountered, compared and tested. Some pieces convinced us immediately. Others were left behind. Little by little, these discoveries formed a coherent world — and the desire to share them became AlpiForma.

Selection always begins with a feeling. A material should catch the eye, invite the hand or simply feel right. Only then does the analysis begin: quality, density, suppleness, consistency, finish, intended use and how it will stand the test of time.

We meet the manufacturers we work with, on site whenever we can, and follow production and quality control with them from there. The relationship with the workshops stays direct. Quality is never fully delegated.

We stay in touch with our partners, follow how their materials evolve and ask for the documents available on origin, composition and, where relevant, production conditions. That continuity helps us know what we offer — and say precisely what we know.

AlpiForma carries a distinctly Swiss sensibility: respect for work well done, restraint, precision and high standards. Its collection, however, is built wherever we find materials and craftsmanship that genuinely convince us. Origin alone is never enough; quality remains the first criterion. In the same spirit, our models carry the names of Alpine places: they identify a silhouette and pay tribute to a landscape, never a place of manufacture nor a material.

The alpine world is our thread, not our boundary. We love timber, stone, mountain light and the warmth of a contemporary chalet, but AlpiForma pieces are for anyone drawn to beautiful materials — in a house, an apartment, a hotel or anywhere else in the world.
