AlpiForma may collect different categories of personal data depending on how the website is used.

Identification and contact data

Surname, first name, e-mail address, telephone number, billing address, delivery address, country, city, company, role or professional information where provided.

Order data

Products ordered, amounts, preferences, order history, delivery information, returns, exchanges and customer service requests.

Payment data

Payments are processed by secure payment service providers. AlpiForma does not store full bank card details. Only the information required to track the order, transaction and invoicing may be retained.

Communication data

Messages sent through forms, professional enquiries, e-mail exchanges, preferences voluntarily communicated, catalogue requests, requests for advice or quotations.

Browsing data

IP address, device type, browser, pages viewed, browsing path, date and time of visit, traffic source, interactions with the website, cookies and similar technologies.

Newsletter data

E-mail address, subscription consent, date of subscription, preferred language, opening or click rates where such data is available through the e-mailing tool used.

Each e-mail contains an unsubscribe link allowing recipients to opt out at any time.

The website uses two families of cookies and local storage, and two only.

The first are strictly necessary: they carry the basket, the language, the chosen currency and the security of exchanges. Without them the website does not work. They are not subject to consent.

The second concern audience measurement and are set only after explicit agreement. Until that agreement is given, no measurement script is loaded and no measurement cookie is set.

The website uses no advertising cookies and does not carry out personalised advertising.

Visitors may change their choice at any time through the “Manage cookies” link at the foot of every page. Declining is as simple as accepting, and any measurement cookies already set are deleted from the browser upon withdrawal.

Subject to the visitor’s consent, the website uses Google Analytics 4, an audience measurement service provided by Google.

Purpose: to understand how the website is used — pages viewed, journeys, useful content — in order to improve AlpiForma and its selection. It is not a matter of identifying visitors by name.

Data processed: technical identifiers stored in the browser, IP address processed by Google in particular for approximate location, pages viewed, timestamps, device type, browser, language and source of the visit. This information may constitute personal data within the meaning of the Swiss FADP and the GDPR; AlpiForma does not claim otherwise.

Legal basis: consent, freely given and revocable at any time. No measurement takes place before that consent.

Recipient: Google. Under the terms of the service, the contracting entity is Google Ireland Limited for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland; Google LLC, in the United States, acts as a further processor.

International transfers: data may be transferred to the United States. Google states that it relies on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and on its certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its Swiss extension.

Withdrawal: through the “Manage cookies” link at the foot of every page. Withdrawal stops any further measurement and deletes measurement cookies from the browser. It does not by itself erase data already transmitted to Google: such erasure is exercised like the other rights, at the address given under Contact.

Retention period: still to be determined. It depends on the data retention setting of the Google Analytics property, which has not been decided as at the date of this version.

Personal data may be shared with service providers acting on behalf of AlpiForma, only where this is necessary.

Such service providers may include:

website hosting provider;

e-commerce service provider;

payment service providers;

carriers and logistics partners;

e-mailing tools;

audience analytics tools;

IT service providers;

Data relating to contact requests or professional enquiries is retained for the time necessary to process the request, then archived or deleted according to its commercial or legal usefulness.

AlpiForma implements reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration, disclosure or misuse.

As no IT system can guarantee absolute security, AlpiForma invites users to exercise caution when transmitting information online.

deletion of their data where its retention is no longer justified;
